Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Misaki Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kotaro Hakku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hakku has chosen Apocalyptica - Hope as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Misaki Suzuki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Hakku! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hakku misses with a double jab.
Hakku fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Suzuki checks it well. Hakku tries to bum rush Suzuki with a series of wild strikes but Suzuki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hakku throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hakku swinging wilding here.
Hakku throws a nice looking combination but Suzuki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A clash of legs there as Suzuki blocks the low kick. Suzuki misses with a double jab
and Hakku counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hakku is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Suzuki. Hakku showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Suzuki.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hakku falls off balance throwing a combination
and Suzuki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hakku throws a combination that misses and Suzuki counters with a series of strikes. Hakku will be more careful next time no doubt. Hakku jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suzuki throws a push kick but Hakku slaps the foot to one side. Suzuki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Misaki Suzuki has been cut. A clash of legs there as Suzuki blocks the low kick. Hakku throws a shot to the body.

Hakku catches Suzuki right on the button with a cross. A low kick from Hakku is predictable there and Suzuki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Suzuki goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Suzuki tries to bum rush Hakku with a series of wild strikes but Hakku uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Suzuki throws a body punch but Hakku moves out of range. Suzuki misses the shot to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hakku throws a hook to the side of Suzuki's head but Suzuki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Suzuki throws a right and a left that Hakku avoids nicely. Hakku fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Suzuki counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Suzuki. Suzuki throws a big right hand that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Suzuki tries to free his leg and advance position but Hakku is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Suzuki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hakku's guard now. Suzuki is looking to work some ground and pound but Hakku has wrist control. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Suzuki cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Suzuki looking to ground and pound but Hakku is blocking nicely. Hakku avoids a strike by Suzuki and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Suzuki's guard! Fantastic escape!
Suzuki will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

and Suzuki counters with a one-two to the body. Hakku missing with a left hand there. Suzuki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Hakku moves out of range as Suzuki strikes. Suzuki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Suzuki counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hakku is trying to stand up here but Suzuki is controlling him well. Hakku pushes Suzuki off but Suzuki dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Suzuki landing a few strikes. The strikes coming from Suzuki are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Suzuki tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Suzuki lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The ground and pound from Suzuki seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Suzuki throws an elbow but Hakku slips to the side and avoids it well. Suzuki throwing strikes but Hakku manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Hakku decides to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Misaki Suzuki showed his dominance in that final round. Well Suzuki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
