Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Irvin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dexter Morgan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dexter Morgan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Irvin! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irvin drives through with a takedown into Morgan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Morgan keeping full guard, as Irvin tries to pass. Morgan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Irvin with a flurry of punches that miss. Irvin trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Morgan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Morgan trying to control the position here. Irvin tries to free his leg and advance position but Morgan is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Morgan trying to keep a closed guard but Irvin is proving a slippery customer.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Irvin is looking to work some ground and pound but Morgan has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan looking for a guillotine here but Irvin defends easily.
Irvin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Morgan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Morgan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Morgan slips a jab and a cross from Irvin.
Morgan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Irvin drives through with a takedown into Morgan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Irvin trying to control the position from guard on top but Morgan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Irvin won't allow Morgan to sweep him here. Morgan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Morgan wants to sweep but no luck. Irvin sitting in guard, not really doing much. Morgan keeping moving, preventing Irvin from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Irvin tries to free his leg and advance position but Morgan is retaining full guard. Morgan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Irvin defends well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morgan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Irvin's waist but Irvin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morgan off to one side. Morgan is breathing heavily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Morgan. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Morgan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morgan stuffs the takedown. Irvin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Morgan tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Irvin is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Morgan knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Morgan for a finish. Morgan covering up well under a barage of strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Irvin has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Irvin thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Irvin avoiding Morgan 's attempts to control his hands. Irvin working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Irvin has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Irvin is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Morgan has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Irvin has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Morgan taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Irvin doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Paul Irvin! Paul Irvin seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
