Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonny Ferrara! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ramirez looking to sit in guard and control but Ferrara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ferrara loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ferrara stays in close to Ramirez's body and controls the position. Ramirez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferrara on the ground. Ramirez working a defensive guard here.
Ramirez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferrara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ramirez is pulling down on Ferrara's head to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ferrara throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's one minute gone in the round. Ferrara postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ramirez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferrara defends it easily. Ramirez looking for subs off his back but Ferrara has passed one foot through into half guard.
Ferrara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ferrara looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
