The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Atunes is fending him off so far but Hawk persists. Nope, Atunes circles away and we're back to standing.
Hawk moves out of range as Atunes strikes.
Atunes throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hawk counters with a right hand to the body.
Nice defenses there by Hawk.
Atunes misses with a looping right.
Hawk wants to slow Atunes down by chopping away at his legs.
Atunes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A slow jab from Atunes misses its intended target.
Hawk looks to land a left hand but Atunes moved out of range nicely.

Hawk tries to clinch up but Atunes circles away and keeps his distance.

Atunes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hawk moves away.
Atunes throws a lazy uppercut
and Hawk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hawk clinches with his opponent.
Hawk blocks a body shot from Atunes.
Atunes misses with a punch on the inside.

A solid leg kick lands there for Hawk.
Hawk is looking to slow Atunes down with leg kicks.
Hawk closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Atunes checks a low kick from Hawk.
Hawk throws a head kick that Atunes semi-blocks.
Atunes scores with a jab to the jaw.
The fighters circling - Atunes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Hawk throws a sloppy head kick and Atunes moves out of range easily.

Hawk throws a leg kick which misses Atunes's front leg but catches the back leg as Atunes tries to avoid it.
Arturo Atunes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hawk takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hawk misses with a body punch
and Atunes counters with a leg kick.
Atunes scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hawk takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hawk misses with a low kick.
Atunes is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Hawk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Atunes throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Hawk closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hawk feints and then cracks Atunes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Atunes down.
Hawk moves away from the strike by Atunes.
Atunes throws out a loose jab but Hawk uses good head movement to avoid it.
Atunes throws a body punch but Hawk moves out of range.
Hawk fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Hawk.
A little feinted left hand from Atunes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Atunes cracks Hawk with a good jab.
Atunes misses with a series of wild punches.
Hawk fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hawk bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Atunes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Atunes lands a big head kick that sends Hawk tumbling to the mat! Atunes takes a step backwards and waves Hawk back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hawk is rocked!
It looks like Thomas Hawk has been cut.
Hawk misses with a hook.
Hawk is still on wobbly legs! Can Atunes finish him?
Atunes is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hawk uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Atunes.
Arturo Atunes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hawk throws a lazy body kick
and Atunes counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
