Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sal Zork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyjoto Maskida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zork comes to the cage accompanied by Rise Against - Behind Closed Doors. Maskida is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall. Lyjoto Maskida is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sal Zork! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lyjoto Maskida! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Maskida. No joy for Zork on that attempt. Zork has closed the distance and engaged Maskida in a clinch.

Maskida uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zork. Zork is looking to clinch but Maskida is avoiding it.
Zork gets in close and instigates a clinch. Maskida tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zork smiles and moves away.
Maskida staying out of range there. Zork tries to clinch up. Zork closes the distance and clinches. Zork pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Maskida misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zork is staying active underneath Maskida, who seems content to just control the action from this position. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zork throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zork tries to clinch but Maskida moves out of range. Zork fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maskida sprawls well initially but Zork persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Zork wants to get back to his feet.
Maskida looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Zork is looking for a kimura but Maskida is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zork to get the leverage. That's three minutes gone in the round. Zork keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Zork is looking to advance position but Maskida won't allow it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Zork moves away from the strike by Maskida. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zork. Zork tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Zork lands a head kick!
Zork moves in looking to clinch but Maskida pushes him off. Zork looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Zork seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maskida does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zork perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zork trying to pass the guard but Maskida defending well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Zork in particular looking to stall. Maskida is refusing to be controlled, as Zork sits in half guard. Maskida blocking the ground and pound attempt from Zork. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maskida is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Zork pulls his head out easily. Zork trying to control from half guard but Maskida is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sal Zork dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Donk. Zork catches Maskida right on the button with a cross. Sal Zork is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zork shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zork showed some decent athleticism there. Zork is controlling the pace.
Maskida actively working from the bottom here. Zork looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Zork is looking to stall here but Maskida recovers full guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sal Zork just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Zork doesn't manage to clinch there - Maskida circles away.
Maskida throws a right hand that Zork ducks under and follows up with a left that Zork also avoids with ease. Zork closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Zork wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maskida keeps working. Zork decides to stand back up. Zork tries to clinch there but Maskida circles away.
Zork goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Maskida throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maskida shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zork counters with a nice double leg into side control. Maskida won't be happy with that. Maskida is breathing heavily. Maskida trying to remain calm as Zork controls from the top position. Maskida struggling a bit here. Zork trying to control the position but Maskida is working away. Zork lands a few punches from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zork remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Zork trying to control the position but Maskida is working away. Zork is chipping away with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maskida struggling a bit here. Zork has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. No luck for Zork with that takedown attempt. Maskida keeps the fight on the outside. Zork moves into the clinch. Zork turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Zork manages to end up in side control. Maskida can't do much from the bottom here. Sal Zork overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Zork wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maskida keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maskida sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Maskida is looking to improve his position.

Maskida is not content to let Zork control the position. Zork seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Zork is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sal Zork dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Zork feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Maskida looking for subs off his back but Zork has passed one foot through into half guard.

Maskida keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zork is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Maskida can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Zork postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Maskida looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zork is looking for the choke from the back position but Maskida is controlling his hands well. Zork controls the position. Maskida is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Zork. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Zork is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Maskida has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Zork throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Maskida!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Zork just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Zork has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Sal Zork just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Maskida gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zork counters with a single leg into guard. Maskida didn't expect that. Zork trying to control but Maskida is working from the bottom. Zork lands a couple of digs. Lyjoto Maskida has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zork chips away with some ground and pound. Maskida throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Zork working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sal Zork is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Zork decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maskida, up you get!
And that's the end of the fight! Sal Zork showed his dominance in that final round. Well Zork has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
