Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Klyde Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafa Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafa Mendes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafa Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick avoids a punch combination nicely.
Crunch! Mendes slams his shin into Quick's torso.
Quick takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mendes just misses with a punch to the body.
Quick takes one to the side of the head.
Mendes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Quick back to the cage. Mendes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mendes falls off balance throwing a combination
and Quick counters with a three punch combo that has Mendes backing up. Mendes nods at Quick to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mendes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Quick counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mendes!
Quick has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Mendes!
Quick has control of Mendes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mendes regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Quick lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Quick lands a couple of good shots and Mendes has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Quick is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Mendes is tapping out! This one is all over!
