Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fringe Benefits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luther York (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). York is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "Hated" by Beartooth. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benefits will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Benefits throws a head kick but York moves out of range.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
York is looking for a takedown.
Benefits is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables York to keep the fight standing.
Benefits wants to stall.
York tries for a takedown but Benefits manages to get underhooks.
York decides to pull guard.
Benefits will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
York looks winded!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Benefits is looking to stand up but York won't let him.
Benefits is looking to work some ground and pound but York has wrist control.
Benefits has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of York is proving hard to escape from.

Benefits trying to control but York is working from the bottom.
Benefits trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
York avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
York keeping moving, preventing Benefits from controlling successfully.

Benefits gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and York counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by York.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fringe Benefits. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Benefits trying to control the position but instead, York has worked for underhooks and has pushed Benefits into the cage.
Benefits is trying to pull guard but York turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Benefits drops to a knee looking for a takedown but York gets the underhooks and prevents it.
York has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Benefits is trying to keep an underhook but York manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Benefits is trying to stand back up but York is controlling him
York takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Benefits wants to control but York is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Benefits tries to roll over but York keeps him under control.
York is thwarting Benefits's attempts to control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Benefits is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Benefits closes the distance and clinches up with York, looking for a takedown. Benefits pushes York against the cage but York circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
York only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from York as Benefits shoots in.
York tries to counter by closing the distance.
York shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than York was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Benefits looks to move to half guard but instead York has passed into mount! Damn!
York throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Benefits has his hands clasped together but York breaks the hold and Benefits is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by York!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Luther York!
Luther York decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
