Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Von Cranial!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zee Snore!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cranial doesn't manage to clinch there - Snore circles away.
Cranial looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Snore lands with a straight right. Cranial didn't see that one coming.
Snore misses with an uppercut. Cranial saw that one coming.
Snore pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Cranial swinging wildly here.
Snore takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cranial connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Zee Snore has been cut.
Snore throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cranial sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cranial ducks under a wild hook from Snore.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cranial staying out of range there.
Cranial just misses with a punch to the body.
Snore throws a jab when Cranial was well out of range.
Snore moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Von Cranial seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cranial drops his hands momentarily and Snore takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cranial drops Snore with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Snore looks back up at him and smiles so Cranial waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cranial throws a body shot but no joy.
BOOM! Cranial lands a beautiful left hook that drops Snore. Snore tries to recover but Cranial is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Snore lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Von Cranial!
Von Cranial retains his heavyweight title!
Von Cranial bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
