Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hwai Ja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jagger Carreon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carreon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Hero!! - One Punch Man Opening Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jagger Carreon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ja slips a jab from Carreon.
Ja instigates a clinch.
Carreon breaks from the clinch.
Carreon throws a right and a left that Ja avoids nicely.
Ja connects with a solid leg kick.
Ja has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hellfire Antechamber in the buildup to the fight.
Ja throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ja closes the distance and pushes Carreon back into the cage.

and Carreon counters with a three punch combo that has Ja backing up. Ja nods at Carreon to acknowledge the strikes.

Hwai Ja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ja throws a sloppy head kick and Carreon moves out of range easily.
Carreon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Ja darts in looking for a takedown but Carreon gets double underhooks and turns Ja into the cage.

As Ja backs off Carreon throws a huge counter combo but Ja manages to avoid it all.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ja stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carreon scores with a hook to the body. Ja takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ja rushes Carreon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ja fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ja lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Carreon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jagger Carreon will probably get the nod.

Ja sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Carreon's defenses. It connects perfectly with Carreon's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

A pretty intense looking Hwai Ja took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
