Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlos Condit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Bid! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Condit throws a head kick that misses. Condit forces Bid back against the cage and clinches. Bid is defending well against a takedown attempt. Bid tries to pull guard but Condit won't allow it.

Condit manages to break the clinch.
Condit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bid.
Bid finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Condit manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Condit closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bid quickly recovers to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Condit not landing any meaningful shots this time. Condit seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bid tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Condit has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Condit controlling the pace for now. Condit looking to finish with strikes here!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bid wants to control but Condit is having none of it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Condit looking to control and managing it successfully. Condit is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bid to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bid shrugs it off. Bid tries to hold on but Condit postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Condit takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bid tries to lock up and control but Condit gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bid looks winded! Condit working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Condit controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bid shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Condit pinned against the cage. Condit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bid tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Condit lands with a slapping head kick. Some wild striking there from Bid.
Condit gets a double leg takedown into Bid's guard. Condit is standing up over Bid. Bid looks to escape but Condit dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Condit misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Condit wants to finish this one by submission but Bid is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Condit. Condit controlling the pace for now. Condit throwing strikes here but Bid is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Condit fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bid tries to buck Condit off but Condit takes his back! Bid is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Condit goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Condit decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Bid scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Condit manages to mount him!

That's one minute gone in the round. Condit's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Condit working for a guillotine from mount but Bid is in no mood to give up. Bid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Condit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Condit with the ground and pound from mount. Condit lands with some strikes. Bid is just holding on here. Condit manages to take his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bid is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Condit.

Bid tries to escape but Condit has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Condit controlling the position well here. Bid rolled but Condit kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bid avoids the strikes from Condit. Condit has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bid has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
