Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ahsan Hamed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Stephens!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hamed wants it to stay on the feet.
Hamed could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sloppy strikes from Hamed. Those never looked like landing.
Stephens tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hamed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Stephens raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Ahsan Hamed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A leg kick checked by Stephens.
Stephens lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Hamed blocks a head kick by Stephens.

Stephens clinches up with Hamed and pushes him back against the cage.
Hamed is trying to break the clinch but Stephens is controlling him.

Stephens gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hamed regains guard.
Stephens postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Stephens seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hamed wants to control the position but Stephens says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Stephens maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hamed could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Stephens has cracked it and Hamed is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Stephens!
