Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Federic DelNero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riku Ogawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DelNero gets caught flat footed, as Ogawa shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
DelNero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ogawa wants to control from the top but DelNero keeps moving.
Ogawa content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Ogawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. DelNero swivels though and keeps the full guard.
DelNero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ogawa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ogawa pushes down on DelNero's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Ogawa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
DelNero throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Ogawa shoots in and drives through. DelNero sprawls well.
Federic DelNero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ogawa shoots in for a takedown but DelNero shows good takedown defense.
DelNero swings for the body but Ogawa moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - DelNero looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

DelNero fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Ogawa is out of range.

DelNero tries to buck Ogawa off but Ogawa is having none of it.
Ogawa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ogawa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ogawa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but DelNero is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ogawa tries to advance to mount but DelNero denies him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Riku Ogawa dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
DelNero doesn't manage to clinch there - Ogawa circles away.

DelNero misses with a wild body shot.
Ogawa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. DelNero tries to avoid it but Ogawa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag DelNero to the ground. DelNero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
DelNero bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ogawa blocks a head kick by DelNero.
Ogawa shoots in but no luck this time.
Ogawa drives through with a takedown into guard.

DelNero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ogawa on the ground.

Ogawa goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now DelNero is on top in guard.

DelNero wants to get up but he can't break Ogawa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ogawa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ogawa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DelNero's head.
DelNero is in trouble now - Ogawa has advanced to mount!
Ogawa is in the full mount, landing strikes.
DelNero is trying to escape the mount.
Ogawa pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
DelNero bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Ogawa is trying to control the position but DelNero postures up.
Ogawa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in DelNero's guard.

DelNero is looking to improve his position but Ogawa isn't that keen on the idea.

Ogawa throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! DelNero has his hands clasped together but Ogawa breaks the hold and DelNero is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Ogawa!
