The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schweidler looks to land a combination but Ortega avoids it well.
A head kick misses from Ortega.

No joy there for Ortega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Schweidler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Schweidler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ortega sprawls well initially but Schweidler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Schweidler has eaten all the pies!
Schweidler is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Ortega is trying to control but can't.

Schweidler has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ortega to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Schweidler is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ortega pulls down on the head and he's put Schweidler to sleep! This one is all over!
