The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConor lands with a shot to the body.
Amirkhani ducks under a wild hook from McConor.
Amirkhani throws a lazy right hand but McConor sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McConor swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
McConor throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Amirkhani slips under a jab from McConor.
Amirkhani looks to throw the jab but McConor is out of range.
McConor avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Amirkhani moves into range and connects with a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from McConor. Amirkhani does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've been hearing reports that McConor has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
McConor swings widly with a right hand
and Amirkhani counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McConor throws a lazy uppercut
and Amirkhani counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Amirkhani misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McConor.

McConor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Amirkhani was well out of range. Poor timing from McConor.

McConor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McConor is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Amirkhani moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

A relieved looking Pretty Boy Amirkhani thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
