Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rhys Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Rome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rhys Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Rome! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wells takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Rome throws out a loose jab but Wells uses good head movement to avoid it. Rome looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wells is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rome sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice shot lands for Rome. Wells throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rome! But no joy. Wells throws a body shot but no joy. Oooooh!!! Rome has knocked Wells down with a huge combo! Rome steps away and waves a wobbly Wells back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Wells is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rome gets tackled into the cage by Wells. Wells maintains the clinch. Oh Wells is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wells ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wells no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Wells looking to control.
Wells seems to have got his legs back now. Rome throws a big elbow that misses. Rome in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wells will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wells working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rome doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rome manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rome must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rome postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wells utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wells looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wells is breathing heavily. Rome postures up.
Wells throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Rome tries to stand but Wells is controlling from the bottom. Rome working some strikes from top position. Rome is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rome is looking to work some ground and pound but Wells has wrist control. Rome is looking to work some ground and pound but Wells has wrist control. Rome postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wells covers up, he's hurt! Rome keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Rome and the ref steps in to end the fight! Rome can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
