Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvarez has chosen Doom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Alvarez! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alvarez. Jay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Alvarez throws a head kick that misses. Alvarez lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jay looks to throw the jab but Alvarez is out of range. Jay pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jay seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Alvarez scores with a nice strike. A bone on bone clash there as Alvarez blocks the leg kick.

It looks like Bee Jay has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jay fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Alvarez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Alvarez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jay can pounce on him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fight stays on the outside here - Jay looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jay tries to clinch up. Jay sets himself, and Alvarez steps forward looking for the clinch! Jay avoids it this time. A slapping leg kick lands for Alvarez.
