Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stone Kirby! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirby tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lee is looking to counter with head kicks. Kirby throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kirby lands a head kick!
It looks like Freddy Lee has been cut. Kirby thuds his shin into the meat of Lee's side. Lee throws a hook but Kirby avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kirby's waist but Kirby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side. Kirby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee takes one to the chin there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirby throws a head kick that misses. Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kirby. Lee is looking to counter punch. Lee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kirby blocks a head kick by Lee.
Kirby closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kirby throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Lee turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Kirby regains half guard there - taking advantage of Lee's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Kirby is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee trying to advance position but Kirby counters by regaining guard. Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirby swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage. Lee wants to control from the top but Kirby keeps moving. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A head kick misses from Kirby. Kirby blocks a head kick by Lee.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kirby! But no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A head kick from Kirby lands but Lee takes it in his stride. Lee checks the leg kick. Stone Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kirby tries a head kick but it misses.
Kirby lands an overhand right. Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kirby pinned against the cage. Kirby gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stone Kirby dominated that round. The cut man is working on Freddy Lee's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lee backing away here, and Kirby unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Kirby scores with a hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kirby looks to clinch and Lee counters with a nice uppercut. Jab, jab by Kirby - just one landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A slow jab from Lee misses its intended target. Kirby connects with a body shot. Lee throws a lazy head kick and Kirby counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lee thinking. Kirby misses the shot to the body. Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kirby looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Lee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kirby throws out the jab. Lee appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Lee gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kirby. Kirby tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirby moves to clinch but Lee breaks away and Lee counters with a big head kick but Kirby shrugs it off. Kirby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lee is looking to counter punch. Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kirby throws a counter combo. Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kirby tries to clinch up but Lee circles away and keeps his distance. Lee swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Stone Kirby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kirby moves into the clinch. Kirby has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby misses with an elbow strike.
Lee is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lee takes an elbow to the forehead. Kirby pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Lee gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Kirby is retaining full guard. Kirby lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Kirby wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kirby stands and steps away. Lee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kirby takes the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirby throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Kirby creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lee's defenses. Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kirby fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kirby gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch. Kirby breaks the clinch.

Kirby connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Kirby tries to clinch up. Lee seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stone Kirby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Freddy Lee's cut. That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Kirby just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lee's brow. Kirby can't find room to land a body shot as Lee controls the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking cross lands there for Lee. Kirby tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range. Kirby misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lee.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lee misses with a hook. As Lee backs off Kirby throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all. Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Kirby. Lee throwing a counter right hand but Kirby manages to avoid it. Kirby instigates a clinch. Lee wants a takedown but no success here.
Lee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kirby pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kirby prevents a takedown attempt there.

A head kick misses from Lee. Kirby is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Kirby cracks Lee with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Lee misses the jab. Kirby now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Kirby lands with a hook. Lee tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby throws a body shot but no joy. Lee throws a head kick but Kirby moves out of range.
Kirby cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kirby blocks a head kick by Lee.
Kirby throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lee sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Kirby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kirby scores with a kick to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kirby gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lee tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kirby looks to throw an elbow but misses. Kirby misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kirby gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kirby gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lee takes an elbow to the forehead.
And that's the end of the fight! Stone Kirby comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kirby winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
