The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legend scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Weaver tries for a takedown but Legend circles away easily
and Legend counters with a left to the body.
Weaver looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Legend is fending him off so far but Weaver persists. Nope, Legend circles away and we're back to standing.
Good exchange - Legend coming out on top.

It looks like Darce Weaver has been cut.

Legend drives through and clinches with Weaver against the cage.
Legend gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Weaver.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darce Weaver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Weaver is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Legend pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Weaver has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Legend lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Weaver backwards.

Weaver has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Legend after a bit of a struggle.

Weaver has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Legend avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Legend lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Weaver.
Legend is pressed up against the cage. Weaver has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Legend down to the mat. Legend avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
John Legend is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Legend lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Legend lands with a straight right. Weaver didn't see that one coming.
Legend lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Weaver is rocked!

Weaver closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Legend did well to prevent Weaver getting side control.
Oh Weaver is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Weaver could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Legend is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Legend tries to kick Weaver off but Weaver keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Weaver is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Legend !
Weaver avoids the attempt from Legend to control.
Weaver takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Legend has left one of his arms exposed and Weaver doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Legend screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Darce Weaver spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
