Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amir Mansour!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jacke Jones!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Mansour.
Mansour lands an overhand right.
Mansour buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mansour counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jacke Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.

Jones drives through with a takedown into Mansour's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Jones postures up.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mansour definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A little feinted left hand from Mansour on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mansour scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jones in his tracks.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Mansour tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mansour manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Amir Mansour has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacke Jones.

Mansour gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mansour is looking to stand back up but Jones counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mansour.

Mansour knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Mansour is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Mansour defends the submission attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mansour is controlling Jones's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Mansour is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
Mansour is not content to let Jones control the position.
Mansour won't allow Jones to pass to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jones keeps trying to improve his position.
Mansour preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Amir Mansour will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mansour is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Mansour circles away and we're back to standing.

Mansour feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.
