Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Shepard.
Shepard clinches up against the cage.
Rhodes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Shepard's elbow.
Rhodes scores with a hook to the body.
Shepard looks winded!
Rhodes lands a nice shot to the body.
Rhodes stalling in the clinch.
Good body shot from Rhodes.
Rhodes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shepard takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shepard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice body punch from Rhodes.
Rhodes cracks the inside of Shepard's front leg.
Shepard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Gene Shepard has been cut.
Rhodes buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rhodes takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Good shot there by Rhodes.
Shepard moves forwards but Rhodes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That has opened up Gene Shepard's cut even more.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rhodes digs a good body shot into Shepard's ribs.
Rhodes scores with a hook to the body. Shepard takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A combination from Rhodes does no damage.
Rhodes cracks Shepard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Shepard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rhodes finish him?
Shepard is rocked!
The cut above Gene Shepard's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shepard walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Rhodes swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Max Rhodes!
Max Rhodes spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
