Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaidee Shinawatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Boothe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinawatra comes into the arena with Roy Jones Jr - Can't Be Touched blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jaidee Shinawatra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
45 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Boothe! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Boothe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Boothe drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Shinawatra defends it well. Shinawatra swings for the body but Boothe moves out of range.
Shinawatra comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Boothe ducks under a wild hook from Shinawatra. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boothe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shinawatra.

And Boothe tries to counter it with a takedown but Shinawatra pushes his down on his head and steps out. Shinawatra pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Boothe changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Shinawatra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Boothe might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Shinawatra has got the better of the exchanges. Boothe moves out of range of the strikes. Shinawatra missing with a left hand there. Boothe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Boothe sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Shinawatra wants to hold on but Boothe pushes him away. Thomas Boothe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Shinawatra here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Shinawatra wants to control his opponent's hands but Boothe gets his hands free. Boothe is riding his opponent, not letting Shinawatra buck him off. Boothe is cranking Shinawatra's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Shinawatra! He's tightened the choke and Shinawatra is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Thomas Boothe! Thomas Boothe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. In defeat, Jaidee Shinawatra stepped up to the mic, saying 'Guess fighting ain't my thing at all..'.
