The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jalkalukko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Amaral counters by clinching up.
Jalkalukko is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Amaral gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Amaral working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Jalkalukko blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jalkalukko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Amaral is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rafael Amaral has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Jalkalukko.

Amaral lands a big knee! That's hurt Jalkalukko! Oh, he's all over the place! Amaral lands another knee that sends Jalkalukko to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Amaral!
In his post fight interview, Rafael Amaral gave a big smile as he said 'I'm not surprised mother fuckers!'.
