Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Waterdeep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Sewell!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Waterdeep closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Waterdeep wants to pass the guard but Sewell is defending well.
Sewell is trying to maintain the position but Waterdeep is very close to passing his half guard.

Waterdeep is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sewell has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sewell wants to get back to full guard but Waterdeep has mounted him!
Sewell is trying to stand.
Waterdeep controlling the pace for now.
Waterdeep manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sewell to take his back!

Sewell turns into Waterdeep and is now in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sewell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Waterdeep is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Waterdeep has escaped and now he's on top!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Waterdeep has gone for a leg lock! Sewell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Waterdeep's guard.
Sewell pushes down on Waterdeep's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sewell scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Sewell wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Waterdeep uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Waterdeep shoots in but no luck this time.
Waterdeep fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Sewell clinches.

Sewell turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sewell manages to end up in side control.
Sewell just content to control the position.

Waterdeep gets caught flat footed, as Sewell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Waterdeep had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sewell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Waterdeep Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sewell's back instead.

Sewell turns into Waterdeep and is now in his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sewell throws an elbow but Waterdeep slips to the side and avoids it well.

Tommy Sewell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Sewell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Waterdeep sprawls well initially but Sewell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tommy Sewell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sewell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
