Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Christ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesus Christ will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Lancaster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesus Christ! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christ tries to clinch but Lancaster moves away so Lancaster counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lancaster throwing strikes from guard but Christ blocks nicely. Lancaster is looking to work some ground and pound but Christ has wrist control. Lancaster won't allow Christ to sweep him here. Lancaster working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lancaster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Christ strikes from his own guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lancaster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lancaster chips away with some ground and pound. Lancaster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lancaster could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lancaster scoring with punches to the head and body. Lancaster controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lancaster keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Christ's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lancaster working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Christ's head. Christ lands an upkick as Lancaster stands over him. Lancaster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Christ preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Christ has his foot on Lancaster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lancaster works his way back into a safe position though. Lancaster chips away with some ground and pound. Lancaster is in close to Christ's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lancaster trying to control the position from guard on top but Christ is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lancaster is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Lancaster loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lancaster controlling from the top position. Lancaster advances position into side control! Lancaster in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Lancaster is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christ is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lancaster is putting a hurting on Christ here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancaster scores with a couple of short elbows. Lancaster works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Christ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lancaster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lancaster lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Lancaster lands a nice forearm strike. Christ looks winded! Christ takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Lancaster is working to tighten his grip on Christ's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Christ has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lancaster is really squeezing tight and eventually Christ passes out! Lancaster breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
