Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Archibald Knox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dylan Snow! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow tries to clinch up. Knox clinches up with Snow and pushes him back against the cage. Knox definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Snow is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Knox to keep the fight standing. Knox lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Snow backwards. Snow misses with the head strike.
Knox lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
It looks like Dylan Snow has been cut. Snow's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Snow fails to pull guard.
Knox lands a left hand.
Snow is rocked! Knox misses with a short punch on the inside. Snow is still on wobbly legs! Can Knox finish him? Knox swings wildly with an uppercut but Snow uses good head movement to avoid it. Knox misses with a short punch on the inside. Snow blocking some punches.

Snow seems to have recovered his senses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Snow blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round. Snow jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Knox walks away with a smile on his face. Snow gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Archibald Knox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Snow. Snow wants to clinch. Knox clinches up against the cage. Knox makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Snow jumps guard.
Knox is stalling in the full guard. Snow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Snow thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Knox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Snow tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snow is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snow can do anything to dispel that myth. Knox engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Snow trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Snow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Knox is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Snow looking for a sweep. Not yet Snow, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Knox fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Snow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Snow tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Knox manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Archibald Knox is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Knox rushes Snow and presses him up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snow jumps guard but Knox turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Knox lands with a light punch inside. Snow's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Knox lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Snow or not. Good body shot from Knox.
Snow looks winded! Knox lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Snow. Knox will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Snow up against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Snow is trying to pull guard but Knox turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Knox creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A body shot lands from Knox.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow tries to pull guard but Knox holds him up against the cage and eventually Snow drops back down to his feet.
Knox lands a hook that snaps the head of Snow backwards. Knox stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Knox lands a big right hand that drops Snow! The killer instinct kicks in and Knox finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Knox!
