Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Sandusky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Gomaz!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomaz throws a one two combo.
Sandusky looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Gomaz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gomaz misses with a wild combination.
Gomaz misses with a two punch combination.
No joy there for Gomaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sandusky is looking for a counter combo.
A punch combination from Gomaz misses.

Sandusky rushes Gomaz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sandusky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gary Sandusky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sandusky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sandusky throws a quick counter head kick but Gomaz was just out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gomaz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gomaz is trying to force a seperation but Sandusky has the dominant position.
Gomaz has had enough of the clinch but Sandusky keeps him there for the moment.
Sandusky prevents Gomaz from breaking the clinch.
Gomaz wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gomaz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Gomaz is trying to force a seperation but Sandusky has the dominant position.

Sandusky gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gomaz regains guard.

Gomaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sandusky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gomaz is tightening it up a little... Sandusky has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sandusky reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sandusky taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gomaz!
