Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Julio Petersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ernest Ashman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashman lands a body shot.

Ashman closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Petersen did well to prevent Ashman getting side control.
Petersen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ashman is taking a breather. Petersen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ashman not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ashman prevents Petersen from standing back up.
Petersen wants to get back to full guard.
Ashman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ashman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ashman lands with a punch from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ashman lands a nice short elbow.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ashman lands strikes from half guard.
Ashman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Petersen's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ashman is trying to work for a kimura but Petersen is defending well.
Ashman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Petersen is in trouble now - Ashman has advanced to mount!

Ashman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Petersen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Petersen shrugs it off.

Ashman has isolated one of Petersen's arms. Petersen looking to fight him off but Ashman twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
