Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Monty Python! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Santiago Arias! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arias closes the distance and clinches. Arias should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Arias throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Arias is trying to break the clinch but Python has him pressed against the cage. Arias trying to stall but Python improves his position.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Python takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Arias is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Arias tries to land knees in the clinch but Python avoids the damage to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arias crunches a lovely knee into Python's ribcage. Arias wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Arias is trying to pull guard but Python turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Arias is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Python blocks a body shot from Arias. Arias can't break the clinch.

Arias is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Arias tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Python just stands there and leans against the cage. Monty Python has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Arias. Python lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Python taking a breather. Arias is trying to pull guard but Python has him pressed against the cage. Python controlling the action here for a moment.
Arias looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arias tries to break free but Python pushes him back against the cage. Arias wants to break free but Python has control.

Python turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Python manages to end up in side control. Python misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Python working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Python slows the pace down. Python is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Arias is trying to escape and Python transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Arias is forced to tap! Nice work there by Python! Very nice indeed!
