Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Max Tauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tron Cat- Tyler, The Creator. Max Tauer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Max Tauer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Franklin! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tauer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Franklin under the eye. Tauer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tauer throws a hook but Franklin blocks it. And Franklin tries to counter it with a takedown but Tauer pushes his down on his head and steps out. Tauer throws a body shot but no joy. Franklin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Franklin throws a hook but Tauer blocks it. Franklin fails in his attempt to clinch. Tauer throws a looping overhand right but Franklin ducks down to avoid it. Tauer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Franklin. Tauer jabs Franklin right on the nose. Franklin blinks but takes it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tauer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Franklin with the counter takedown but Tauer avoids it easily. Tauer misses with a looping left. Franklin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Franklin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Max Tauer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Franklin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tauer moves away. Tauer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Franklin misses with a wild body shot. Franklin fails with a takedown attempt. Franklin avoids the head kick by Tauer.
Tauer misses with a straight right. Franklin feints the counter takedown. Franklin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nice shot by Tauer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franklin moves out of range of the strikes. Tauer misses with a looping right. Franklin ducks under a wild hook from Tauer. Tauer jabbing away but nothing is landing. Franklin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Tauer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Tauer sizes up Franklin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tauer throws a head kick but Franklin moves out of range.

Tauer misses the shot to the body. Franklin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Franklin tries for a takedown but Tauer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Max Tauer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Franklin. Franklin shoots in but Tauer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Franklin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tauer. Tauer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Franklin moves away. Franklin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tauer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And Franklin tries to counter it with a takedown but Tauer pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Franklin. Tauer does a little dance to reset his feet. Tauer scores with the left hand. Franklin knows he should have avoided that one. Franklin shoots in but Tauer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tauer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Franklin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tauer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Franklin is controlling him. Franklin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Franklin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tauer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tauer tries to get out of the position. Franklin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tauer's head. Franklin stops Tauer from standing up. Franklin working some strikes from top position. Franklin distracts Tauer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Tauer dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Franklin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tauer. Tauer is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Tauer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Franklin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tauer. Franklin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tauer. Franklin with the counter takedown but Tauer avoids it easily. Tauer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tauer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nice shot lands for Franklin. Tauer throws a hook to the side of Franklin's head but Franklin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tauer throws a series of punches but Franklin avoids them all with ease. Franklin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Franklin is working for takedown but Tauer is calmly controlling the position for now. Tauer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Franklin can do to turn this around? Tauer manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tauer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. A slow jab from Tauer misses its intended target. Franklin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tauer on his heels. He'll look to pass Tauer's guard now, I'm sure. Franklin throws a big elbow that misses. Franklin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tauer lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Franklin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tauer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Franklin working for a triangle but Tauer defends it easily.
Tauer sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franklin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tauer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Franklin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tauer has managed to get both his arms back between Franklin's legs - danger averted. Tauer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tauer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Franklin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tauer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Franklin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Franklin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tauer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Franklin is tightening it up a little... Tauer has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tauer reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tauer taps out! Nice BJJ there by Franklin!
