Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gunji Koizumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hassan Dehu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koizumi moves in looking to clinch but Dehu pushes him off.

It seemed like Dehu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dehu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That was a close round but I would say that Gunji Koizumi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dehu drops Koizumi with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Koizumi looks back up at him and smiles so Dehu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Gunji Koizumi has been cut.
Dehu drops Koizumi with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Koizumi! Dehu dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
