Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Easton DeMarinni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Hellson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by DeMarinni.
Hellson shoots for a takedown but DeMarinni saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hellson looks to clinch
and DeMarinni counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Hellson takes the fight into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, DeMarinni scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hellson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
DeMarinni working some nice short punches in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hellson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
DeMarinni makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
DeMarinni gets through Hellson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Hellson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, DeMarinni creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hellson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hellson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A nice left hand lands by DeMarinni.
DeMarinni is pressed up against the cage. Hellson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag DeMarinni down to the mat. DeMarinni avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hellson wants to clinch

and DeMarinni counters with a nice right hand that sends Hellson toppling to the canvas! Hellson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can DeMarinni finish him?!

Hellson is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and DeMarinni counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Hellson has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
