The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duff lets loose with a powerful body kick. Allen will feel that in the morning.
Brendan Duff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duff connects with a jab.
Allen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Duff looks to land a left hand but Allen moved out of range nicely.
Duff shoots in looking for a takedown. Allen tries to sprawl out of it but Duff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Allen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Parker Allen will probably get the nod.

Allen throws a hook to the side of Duff's head but Duff sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Duff paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Allen digs a good body shot into Duff's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
