Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lando Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz misses with a head kick.
Ortiz is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
As Ortiz looks to move away, Silva throws a big counter combo but Ortiz just gets out of the way.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva not doing much here.
Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ortiz for as long as he can get away with.
Ortiz looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ortiz's head.
Ortiz has hold of Silva's hands but Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Silva is just content to waste time from the top position. Ortiz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Silva stands and throws Ortiz's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ortiz is not content to let Silva control the position.

Silva connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Ortiz some visible discomfort.
Silva passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ortiz!
Ortiz looks winded!
Silva looking to finish Ortiz with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ortiz!
It looks like Lando Ortiz has been cut.
Silva lands a big elbow.
Ortiz is rocked!
Silva postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Ortiz in real trouble here! The ref calls for Ortiz to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
