Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buck Rowland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Miller!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowland avoids a punch combination nicely.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with Rowland.
Rowland is trying to drag Miller to the mat but Miller just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Miller using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Rowland could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rowland wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Miller crunches a lovely knee into Rowland's ribcage.
Miller misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rowland.

Rowland decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rowland's guard.
Miller is looking to advance position but Rowland won't allow it.
Miller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Miller keeps trying to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rowland holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Miller passes the guard and advances to mount!

Miller goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rowland turns into him and now he's in Miller's guard.

Rowland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rowland has managed to get both his arms back between Miller's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Miller is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rowland defends well.
Miller looks winded!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rowland is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Miller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rowland is aware though and is defending well.

Rowland wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.

Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rowland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Miller is looking for a triangle here but Rowland uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller looking for subs from the bottom but Rowland mounts him!

Rowland has control of Miller's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Miller regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Rowland working for a guillotine from mount but Miller is in no mood to give up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rowland with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Miller is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ivan Miller will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Miller throws a series of strikes that have Rowland backpedaling.
Miller looks to land a left hand but Rowland moved out of range nicely.
Miller looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ivan Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rowland slips a jab from Miller.
Miller fails to land with a series of punches.
Rowland throws a head kick that misses.
Miller tries to bum rush Rowland with a series of wild strikes but Rowland uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Miller throws a combination that misses

and Rowland counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Miller looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rowland has picked Miller up and slammed him! Miller can't keep hold of the triangle and Rowland manages to pass to side control!
Miller is breathing heavily.
Miller tries to bench press Rowland off him but Rowland keeps the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rowland creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Rowland in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Miller is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
