Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jamaal Hull! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Armour King! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hull fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with King, pushing him back against the cage. King jumps guard but Hull turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. King manages to break the clinch.
Hull throws a head kick but King moves out of range.
Hull takes the fight into the clinch. Hull tries to land knees in the clinch but King avoids the damage to the body. Hull drags the fight down to the ground.
Hull has control of King's left arm, preventing King from doing any damage. King throws an elbow that misses. Hull uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in King's guard. Nice move by Hull!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hull doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hull manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. King looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hull is looking to stand up but King won't let him. King preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hull really is a fat lump. King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hull is one step ahead there. Hull with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hull wants to get up but he can't break King's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. King is trying to control the position but Hull postures up. King wriggles free and stands up. Hull moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off. Hull misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hull counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. King shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hull is trying to defend but King finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. King trying to control the action but Hull is working from the bottom. Hull is looking to control King's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hull avoid being mounted? Hull moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. King is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hull swivels though and keeps the full guard. King trying to control but Hull is working from the bottom. King is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hull is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. King is looking for a sweep. Hull is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hull thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed King's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamaal Hull dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hull is looking to take this fight into the clinch. King drives through with a takedown into Hull's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. King trying to control but Hull is working from the bottom. King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hull swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Armour King has got the better of the ground game so far. King looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hull is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst King is controlling him. Hull controlling King's posture. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Hull is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hull tries to land a sweep but no joy. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Hull is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jamaal Hull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hull throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily. King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hull but Hull pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. King gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hull to score an easy takedown into full guard. King wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hull manages to pass to side control. King regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hull.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King looking for a sweep. Not yet King, not yet. King working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hull has passed into half guard!
King is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hull scores with a couple of nice shots. Hull takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hull working King over with strikes. Hull looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King regains full guard. Nicely done. King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hull is one step ahead there. King has Hull pulled in close to control his posture. Hull postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hull is looking to work some ground and pound but King has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamaal Hull dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
King misses with a takedown and Hull counters with a nice body shot. Nice takedown defense from Hull. No joy for King on that attempt. King gets in close and instigates a clinch. King is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hull gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jamaal Hull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armour King. Hull using the Thai plumb to throw knees but King has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hull can't find room to land a body shot as King controls the action.

King is looking to control Hull's arms but Hull gets an underhook and turns him. Now King has his back to the cage. Hull is trying to push King away but King has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. King avoiding damage as Hull throws knees to the body.
King tries to score a body lock takedown but Hull shows good agility there to stay on his feet. King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. King wants a takedown but no success here.
Hull decides to pull guard. Hull has King pulled in close to control his posture. Hull might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. King wants to control from the top but Hull keeps moving. Hull is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King trying to control but Hull is working from the bottom. Hull uses the cage to get back to his feet.
King avoids the head kick by Hull.
Hull is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around? Hull slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hull tried to counter with a leg kick but King avoided it. King moves into the clinch. Hull gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from King.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hull lands a takedown into guard.
King has his feet on Hull's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Hull fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging King to the ground. Hull is now in King's guard. King has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hull is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hull lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of King backwards. King is looking for a takedown. King is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hull to keep the fight standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hull missing with knees to the body.
A short uppercut from Hull. King tries to work over Hull's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. King changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hull fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hull throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily. King looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Armour King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hull shoots for a takedown but King saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. King darts in looking for a takedown but Hull gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage. Hull lands a high kick!
Hull closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. King is looking to get back to his feet here but Hull is keeping cool and he's managed to take King's back.
And that's the end of the fight! Armour King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hull has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
