Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Holland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murray Thiw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andreas Holland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Murray Thiw! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. The referee calls for Thiw to work.
Thiw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Thiw tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Holland paws at him with a jab and circles away. Holland ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thiw moves away. Thiw throws a body kick that misses. Thiw is looking to clinch but Holland is avoiding it.
Holland tries to counter by clinching up but Thiw breaks away and moves out of range. Thiw fails in his attempt to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thiw has his takedown stuffed and Holland counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Holland. Holland keeps control of Thiw as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Thiw scores a nice knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holland stalling.

Thiw decides to pull guard. Holland working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Thiw looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Holland puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Thiw actively working from the bottom here. Thiw blocking the ground and pound attempt from Holland. Thiw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Holland is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thiw trying to control but Holland postures up.
Nice strikes from Holland there. Holland is trying to work for a kimura but Thiw is defending well.

Holland prevents Thiw from improving his position. Thiw is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Holland thows a huge punch but Thiw dodges it nicely.
Thiw wants to get back to full guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holland connects with a nice short shot to Thiw's temple. Thiw is looking to escape. Holland is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Thiw defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Thiw makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Thiw. Holland throwing strikes from guard but Thiw blocks nicely. Holland is standing up over Thiw. Thiw looks to escape but Holland dives into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holland is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thiw knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Holland has hold of Thiw's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Thiw seems comfortable defending it but Holland has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Thiw is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Thiw is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Holland couldn't care less - he's delighted!
