Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kahn Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kahn Snake! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a jab to the head.
Snake goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Snake fails in his attempt to clinch. Snake fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Snake takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Snake shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Snake is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones has Snake pulled in close to control his posture. Snake wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones has a closed guard, preventing Snake from standing up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Snake won't allow Jones to sweep him here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Snake shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jones duly obliges. A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. A jab from Jones finds it's way through Snake's defenses. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Snake looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Snake looks winded! Snake is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jones prevents Snake from improving his position. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones is trying to control. Snake wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Snake is not content to let Jones control the position. Snake wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Snake is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snake avoid being mounted? Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Snake avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones. Jones throwing shots but Snake is blocking nicely. Snake blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Snake keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Snake is not content to let Jones control the position. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Snake's head. Snake keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Snake tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jones. Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Snake doesn't seem bothered though. Snake on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Snake gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard. Jones controls Snake momentarily but Snake frees himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Snake is one step ahead there. Sam Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Snake trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Snake is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Snake trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Snake moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jab, jab by Jones - just one landing. Jones bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Snake slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
Jones scores with a jab. Snake acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A punch lands to the side of Snake 's head but he takes it in his stride. Jones checks a leg kick. Jones appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Snake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Snake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Snake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Snake shows good takedown defense. Kahn Snake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones tests Snake's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jones lands a jab to Snake's midsection. Jones avoids the body shot from Snake.
An attempted straight right counter from Jones misses the target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snake circles away quickly and effectively. Jones connects with the punch. Snake on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Jones with a body punch. A glancing blow. Snake fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Snake looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Snake looks to land a strike but Jones avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snake preventing the sweep. Jones trying to control the position.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Snake manages to get himself to full guard.
Jones stands up over Snake, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jones preventing the sweep. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snake is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Snake working a defensive guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Jones dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Snake walks into a straight right hand from Jones. Snake takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snake to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jones is wriggling around but Snake manages to pass to half guard.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Snake can do to turn this around? Jones desperately trying to maintain half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snake trying to pass the guard but Jones defending well. Snake takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to hold on to Snake's head to control him but Snake postures up.
Snake seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones is trying is best to control the position here. Snake throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jones to regain full guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Jones manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Jones pulls Snake into guard.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Snake wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones is trying to keep Snake in close.
Jones is really struggling to control Snake but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jones with a nice cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Snake fails with the takedown. Sam Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones lands with a cross. Snake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Good shot there by Jones. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snake has managed to clinch.
Snake manages to break the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
