Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Voitto Tuska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vesku Torni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Voitto Tuska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vesku Torni!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuska moves out of range as Torni strikes.
Torni shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Torni throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tuska slips a jab and a cross from Torni.
Torni keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Tuska shoots for a double leg takedown but Torni sprawls well. He's pushed Tuska's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tuska fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Torni throws a head kick but Tuska moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tuska tries to move into range but Torni moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Tuska shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Tuska missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Torni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tuska. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Torni can't keep his opponent in guard - Tuska advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Tuska lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Torni looks like he's trying to stand up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Torni can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tuska lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tuska lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Tuska thows a huge punch but Torni dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tuska is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Torni is trying to stand back up but Tuska is controlling him

Torni wants to get back to his feet.
Tuska lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Tuska is looking for a kimura but Torni is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tuska to get the leverage.
Tuska is breathing heavily.
Torni tries to kick Tuska off but Tuska keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Tuska stops Torni from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Torni pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tuska slips under a jab from Torni.
Donk. Torni catches Tuska right on the button with a cross.
Tuska shoots for a takedown but Torni saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Voitto Tuska. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tuska slips a straight right by Torni.

Torni gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Torni wants to get back to his feet but Tuska is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tuska stands up over Torni, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Tuska trying to control but Torni is working from the bottom.
Tuska throws a big right hand that misses.
Tuska wants to control from the top but Torni keeps moving.
Tuska has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tuska is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Voitto Tuska dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A cross from Torni lands.


Tuska is rocked!
Torni fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Tuska out cold! Brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Vesku Torni!
