Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AC Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Tupper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slater's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Stop What Ya Doin. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AC Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tupper!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupper slips a straight right by Slater.

Tupper moves into range and clinches up with Slater.

Tupper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Left hook, right uppercut from Tupper.
Tupper gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tupper lands with a slapping head kick.
Slater looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tupper lands a high kick!
Slater throws a combination that misses
and Tupper counters with a slapping leg kick.
Slater has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slater shoots for a double leg takedown but Tupper sprawls well. He's pushed Slater's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tupper throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Tupper moves into range and clinches up with Slater.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slater accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Slater throws a strike but Tupper rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Slater has a closed guard, preventing Tupper from standing up.
Slater will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tupper wants to stand and escape but instead Slater has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Tupper wants to stand but Slater is controlling the position.
Slater makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Slater works over Tupper with some ground and pound from guard.
Slater trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tupper wants to stand and escape but Slater is having none of it.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Tupper manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Tupper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tupper turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tupper is looking to clinch but Slater is avoiding it.
Tupper misses with a head kick.
Tupper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Slater misses with an uppercut. Tupper saw that one coming.
Tupper tries to clinch
and Slater cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Tupper closes the distance and clinches.
Tupper looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Tupper breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tupper is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AC Slater. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Slater has Tupper pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Slater pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tupper tumbling to the mat - Slater dives into Tupper's guard.
Tupper wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Slater manages to pass to side control.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tupper takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Slater is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

AC Slater overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
