Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shane Myres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dis Respect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myres comes to the cage accompanied by In the End by Linkin Park. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Myres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dis Respect! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myres shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Respect throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Respect misses with a straight left. Myres fails with the takedown and Respect counters with a lovely shot to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Myres is defended easily by Respect. Respect throws out a counter right but Myres avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Myres. That's going to take a lot out of him. Myres's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Respect connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Myres scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Shane Myres has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Respect lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Respect misses with a straight left. Respect lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Respect displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Myres.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Respect. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Respect. Myres gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Myres uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Respect. Respect scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Myres doesn't seem bothered though. Respect fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Myres on the side of the head. Myres tries for a takedown but Respect circles away easily and Respect counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Respect comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Respect clinches up with Myres and pushes him back against the cage. Respect lands a body shot in the clinch.

Respect lands a right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Respect lands a left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Respect lands with a light punch inside. Myres blocks an uppercut.
Respect digs a right hand into Myres's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Myres's gas tank. Respect working aggressively here.
Respect looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Respect is working Myres over against the cage. Good body shot from Respect.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Respect. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Respect. Respect lands a hook that snaps the head of Myres backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Respect. Good body shot from Respect.
Myres fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Respect lands a shoulder strike. A left hand lands to the body for Respect.
Respect scores with a hook to the body. A nice left hand lands by Respect.

A nice right hand lands inside from Respect.
Myres is rocked! Respect misses with a punch on the inside.
Oh Myres is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Respect misses with some punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Respect will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Myres up against the cage. Myres seems to have got his legs back now. Myres misses with a hook from the clinch. Respect misses with a hook to the ribs.
Respect gets through Myres's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short left from Respect. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Respect creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Respect pushes Myres against the cage. Respect is working some dirty boxing. Respect pushes off with a quick right hook! Myres goes down! Myres tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Respect moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dis Respect! After the big win, Dis Respect made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Lion Fightwear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
