Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monsun Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rekis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rekis has chosen AC/DC - Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monsun Moon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rekis!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Rekis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moon tries to avoid it but Rekis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moon to the ground. Moon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rekis shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rekis is looking to clinch but Moon is avoiding it.

Rekis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moon tries to roll over but Rekis keeps him under control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
