The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mexican Samurai keeps the fight on the outside.

Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mexican Samurai is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mexican Samurai wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Mexican Samurai persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage.

Mexican Samurai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mexican Samurai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mexican Samurai working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mexican Samurai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mexican Samurai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jones is trying to work for a sweep but Mexican Samurai has mounted him!

Jones is controlling an arm, preventing Mexican Samurai from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mexican Samurai is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jones has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jones!

Mexican Samurai is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The Mexican Samurai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mexican Samurai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mexican Samurai changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mexican Samurai is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones wants to control but Mexican Samurai postures up.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
