Couture comes into the arena with Mama said knock you out blaring out of the sound system. Mendez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Trap Door. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Couture manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Couture throws a jab when Mendez was well out of range.

Couture throws an overhand right that lands on Mendez's shoulder, as Mendez tries to avoid the shot.

Couture tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mendez tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
