Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Clack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Staunton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Clack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Staunton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clack comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Staunton. Clack does a little dance to reset his feet. Oooooh!!! Staunton has knocked Clack down with a huge combo! Staunton steps away and waves a wobbly Clack back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Clack is rocked! Clack getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Steve Staunton has been cut. Staunton drops Clack with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Clack looks back up at him and smiles so Staunton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Clack is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! A nice inside leg kick there by Clack. That's going to slow Staunton down. Clack steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Staunton. Clack seems to have got his legs back now. A punch combination from Clack misses. A little jabbing left from Staunton on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Clack throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Clack, right into the meat.
Clack with a jab. Clack shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Staunton as he jumps to the side. Staunton ducks under a wild hook from Clack.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clack throws a body punch but Staunton moves out of range. Steve Staunton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Clack connects with a crisp jab. Clack lands a jab to Staunton's midsection. Clack looks to land a left hand but Staunton moved out of range nicely. Staunton throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Staunton scores with a jab. Clack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Clack throws a push kick but Staunton slaps the foot to one side. Clack works the jab nicely. Clack tests Staunton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Staunton is rocked! Clack throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice defenses there by Staunton. A little jabbing left from Staunton on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Clack rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Staunton counters with a body kick that stops Clack in his tracks momentarily.

A combination from Staunton does no damage. A looping hook to the body misses from Staunton. Clack does a little dance to reset his feet. Staunton throws a shot to the body.

Staunton defending well as Clack loads up on a big left hand. Kenny Clack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clack throws a low kick, looking for Staunton's leg but Staunton calmly moves out of range. Clack shoots in but Staunton avoids the takedown attempt easily. Clack lands a glancing blow to the side of Staunton's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clack lands with a right hand. Clack is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Staunton throws a combination. Clack tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Clack lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Staunton circles away quickly and effectively. Good exchange - Staunton coming out on top. Clack cracks Staunton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Clack swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Clack misses with a left hand enabling Staunton to counter with a crisp jab. Clack throws an overhand right that lands on Staunton's shoulder, as Staunton tries to avoid the shot. Clack lands with a straight right. Staunton didn't see that one coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Staunton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Clack looks to throw the jab but Staunton is out of range. And Staunton responds with a good body kick, but Clack manages to step out the way in time. Staunton avoids the body shot from Clack.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Staunton slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A slapping leg kick lands for Staunton.
Staunton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clack moves away. Clack misses with a looping right. Staunton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Clack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Staunton tries to avoid it but Clack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Staunton to the ground. Staunton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Clack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Clack looks to land a right hand but Staunton moved out of range. Clack misses with a takedown attempt - Staunton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Clack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Staunton moves away. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Clack misses with a looping right. Staunton looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Staunton lands a jab to Clack's midsection. Staunton ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Steve Staunton will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Steve Staunton's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Staunton connects with a single shot there. Staunton misses with a wild body shot. Staunton has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Clack slips a straight right by Staunton. Staunton scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Clack looks to land a right hand but Staunton moved out of range. Staunton tries to bum rush Clack with a series of wild strikes but Clack uses good footwork to avoid the assault. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Staunton blocks a jab. Staunton throws a sloppy head kick and Clack moves out of range easily. Staunton stuns Clack with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Staunton takes a swing at Clack's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clack takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Staunton tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Staunton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Clack rather than just go for the knockout. Staunton slips under a jab. Clack blocks a head kick by Staunton.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Clack might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Staunton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. An attempted straight right counter from Clack misses the target. Clack throws a hook but Staunton blocks it. Steve Staunton seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Staunton has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Clack throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Staunton lands with an overhand left. Staunton misses with a head kick.
Clack attempts a counter takedown but Staunton avoids it well and moves away. Clack throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Staunton sees it coming and avoids it easily. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Staunton throws a push kick but Clack slaps the foot to one side. Clack connects with a right hand. Staunton shakes it off. Staunton scores with a hook to the body. Clack takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Clack throws an overhand right that lands on Staunton's shoulder, as Staunton tries to avoid the shot. Staunton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Clack. That did some damage! Steve Staunton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Staunton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Clack.

And that's the end of the fight! Steve Staunton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Staunton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
