Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cormac Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Vimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vimes scores with a hook to the body. Gutz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Vimes lands with a nice body punch.
Vimes jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A little feinted left hand from Gutz on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Gutz tries to score with a low kick but Vimes moves his leg out of the way.

Nice straight punches there by Gutz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gutz.

Gutz feints a jab promting Vimes to slip. Gutz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vimes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gutz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vimes.
Vimes walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gutz.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cormac Gutz will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gutz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Gutz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vimes.

Gutz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gutz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vimes manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Gutz counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Vimes has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

After winning the bout, Cormac Gutz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
