PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Pavlovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think King might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Summer Sixteen By: Drake. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, William King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Pavlovich!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlovich takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pavlovich jabs King to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pavlovich throws a shot from downtown. King moves away and avoids it.

King shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than King was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Pavlovich's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

King is trying to get an arm triangle but Pavlovich is defending well.
Pavlovich takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Pavlovich parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pavlovich to escape.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Pavlovich being controlled for a moment.

King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pavlovich is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Pavlovich wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Pavlovich tries to improve position but can't.
Pavlovich is trying to control King's posture but King avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pavlovich is trying to get back to his feet.
Pavlovich wants to control but King postures up.
Pavlovich tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but King presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
King trying to control but Pavlovich is having none of it.
Pavlovich tries to get back to half guard but can't.
King landing shots from mount.
King misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
King sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
King landing punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King breaks from Pavlovich's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, King cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
King trying to control but Pavlovich is having none of it.
Pavlovich wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by King.
Pavlovich takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
King lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Pavlovich! King sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Pavlovich and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). William King!
William King decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
