Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Painter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and colin daglish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Painter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, colin daglish! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Painter fails with a takedown attempt. Painter instigates a clinch. daglish manages to break the clinch.
Painter looks for a takedown but daglish sprawls well. daglish thows a body kick. Painter tries to catch it but that hurt him. daglish darts in and clinches Painter up against the cage. Painter prevents daglish from breaking the clinch. daglish wants to break free but Painter has control.
daglish pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Painter closes the distance and clinches up with daglish, looking for a takedown. Painter pushes daglish against the cage but daglish circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Painter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Painter looks to clinch and daglish counters with a nice double leg into guard. daglish should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Painter is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. daglish stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Painter doesn't succeed with the takedown and daglish counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. daglish wanted to stand there but Painter had control of the position. Painter is working an open guard so daglish takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. daglish throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

daglish is looking to break free of the clinch but Painter has double underhooks. daglish is trying to break free. daglish breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. daglish lands a hook that snaps the head of Painter backwards.

daglish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. daglish swinging wilding here.
Kevin Painter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. daglish looks to land a combination but Painter avoids it well. Painter with a lazy takedown attempt and daglish counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by daglish. daglish escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! daglish takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. daglish stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Here come the fireworks! Excellent takedown into side control there by daglish. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. daglish decides to take the fight back to the feet. Painter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. daglish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Painter fails with the takedown and daglish counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! daglish wants to stand but Painter is controlling his posture from full guard. daglish won't allow Painter to sweep him here. daglish will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
daglish stuffs the takedown attempt from Painter. Painter gets slowly back to his feet. daglish wants to clinch but Painter slips to the side and Painter counters with a leg kick. daglish scores with a takedown into Painter's guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - daglish has eaten all the pies! Painter keeping moving, preventing daglish from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Painter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. daglish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. daglish manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

daglish tries to stand but his arm is trapped. daglish stands up from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. daglish misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Painter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so daglish counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Painter throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Painter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead daglish passes into half guard.
Painter wants to get back to his feet.

daglish trying to stand up but can't free himself from Painter's guard. daglish stands up and waves to Painter to follow him. daglish scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Painter misses with a takedown attempt so daglish counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Painter. That's going to take a lot out of him. daglish tries to stand but Painter is controlling from the bottom. Painter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. colin daglish showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Painter with a poor takedown and daglish counters into the clinch. Nicely done. daglish has Painter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Painter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Painter keeps control of daglish as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Painter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as daglish walks away with a smile on his face. Painter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Painter tries to bum rush daglish with a series of wild strikes but daglish uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kevin Painter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Painter blocks a head kick by daglish.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. daglish looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. daglish moves into range and clinches up with Painter. daglish wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. daglish wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
daglish breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Painter slips a jab and a cross from daglish.

daglish lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Painter circles away quickly and effectively. Painter dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Painter misses with a takedown and daglish counters with a nice double leg into side control. Painter won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. daglish decides to stand back up. Painter with a lazy takedown attempt and daglish decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Painter's guard. Painter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but daglish has passed into side control.
Painter wants to control but daglish postures up. Painter tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. daglish controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Painter wants to control but daglish is having none of it. Painter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! colin daglish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well daglish has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
