The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Mengestu. No joy for Griffith on that attempt.

It looks like Christian Griffith has been cut.

Griffith shoots in looking for a takedown. Mengestu tries to sprawl out of it but Griffith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mengestu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mengestu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Griffith's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mengestu drops Griffith with a big left hand! Griffith is injured, injured bad! Mengestu jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
