Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gizmo Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danilo Pichardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pichardo has chosen "Dueño De La Conec" by Jhon Gotty as his entrance music. Danilo Pichardo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gizmo Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danilo Pichardo! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pichardo is looking to clinch. Pichardo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Pichardo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pichardo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Pichardo looks winded! Williams looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pichardo! Williams tries to advance to mount but Pichardo denies him. Williams controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pichardo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Williams connects with a decent elbow. Williams is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Pichardo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams working away. The referee asks Williams politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Williams prefers to stall for the moment though. Pichardo manages to get back to half guard. Williams wants to stand but Pichardo has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Williams in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Williams wants to pass the guard but Pichardo is defending well. Williams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Williams tries to pass to full mount but Pichardo defends it. Williams is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams moves into range and clinches up with Pichardo. Williams misses with some punches.
Williams manages to break the clinch.
Pichardo's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pichardo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from Pichardo. Pichardo gets slowly back to his feet. Pichardo fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gizmo Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danilo Pichardo. Williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pichardo is trying to defend but Williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Williams working Pichardo over with strikes. Williams content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Williams lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Williams trying to mount his opponent but Pichardo defends it. Williams slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gizmo Williams dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Williams is looking to take a break and control but Pichardo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pichardo wants to get back to his feet but Williams drags him back down. Pichardo is being controlled here. Williams looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Williams lands some shots froms side control. Pichardo is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams tries to stand but Pichardo is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Williams has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Williams working the ground and pound. Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pichardo on the ground. Pichardo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Williams presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Williams controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Williams is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pichardo is surviving well by controlling Williams's body position as best he can. Williams tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Pichardo is working to get back to half guard.
Williams is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pichardo has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams controlling his opponent. Pichardo tries to hold on but Williams postures up. Williams scoring with strikes but Pichardo is staying in there. Williams content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Williams is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pichardo can do to turn this around? Williams is landing with some decent strikes but Pichardo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Williams controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Williams is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pichardo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pichardo shrugs it off. Williams unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Pichardo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Williams celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gizmo Williams!
