2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnny Mickey Sarady! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Garrison fails with a takedown attempt. Sarady wants to counter the offense by Garrison and move into the clinch position. Sarady fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Garrison fires out a quick counter leg kick but Sarady just manages to avoid it. Good work by Sarady as he checks the leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sarady fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sarady dives in and grabs Garrison's left leg, looking for a takedown. Garrison pushes down on Sarady's head and hops out. Garrison jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Reynaldo Garrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Mickey Sarady. Sarady instigates a clinch. Garrison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garrison throws the kick towards the body but Sarady avoids it. Sarady tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garrison defends well and Sarady ends up having to push Garrison into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Garrison looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Sarady shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Garrison counters with a thumping low kick.

Sarady shoots for a takedown but Garrison saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Garrison throws a quick counter head kick but Sarady was just out of range. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Sarady uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Garrison. Sarady unleashes a big counter combination but Garrison bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Sarady blocks a head kick by Garrison.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sarady shoots in but Garrison avoids the takedown attempt easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sarady's half guard. Garrison is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Sarady goes for a double leg but Garrison avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garrison continues to drive forward. Garrison throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sarady avoids it. Sarady takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sarady wants to counter the offense by Garrison and move into the clinch position. Garrison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Garrison gets to his feet - Sarady follows without any prompting. Sarady fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Garrison, pushing him back against the cage. Garrison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Garrison scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Reynaldo Garrison is winning the standup battle so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sarady blocks a leg kick. Sarady doesn't succeed with the takedown and Garrison counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Garrison manages to break the clinch.
Sarady fails with the takedown. Sarady takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sarady has his takedown stuffed and Garrison counters with a two punch combo. Garrison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sarady is looking to get back to his feet here but Garrison is keeping cool and he's managed to take Sarady's back. Garrison looking for the choke but no joy. That's four minutes gone in the round. Garrison tightening his grip on Sarady, looking for the choke. Johnny Mickey Sarady has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sarady trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Even with his hooks in, Garrison manages to miss with strikes from the back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Garrison lands with a hammerfist to the side of Sarady's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Reynaldo Garrison showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garrison, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
